Excellent Lawrence. As a retired physician, the most important and honest 3 words I could ever say to my patients were “I don’t know.” And very early in my career I added a 4th word—-“yet.” This was a challenge to myself to always do my best to discover the answers that I didn’t know at the time.
I just finished chapter 1 of The Edge of knowledge. As I expected, my understanding has increased by leaps and bounds. The Apple Books sample I read was only a fraction of the chapter.
For a long time, especially since Arizona, I have been curious to know where I can find more information about Alan Guth’s theory of inflation. I found the answer, namely that you wrote about it in A Universe from Nothing. I think that was the first book of yours that I read, but the significance of that topic escaped me. I’ll reread the book in the near future.
Your books are like Pringles potato chips — nobody can read just one! Now, on to chapter 2.

Thoughtful and challenging, your writing brought to my mind something my father would say; ”A man’s reach should exceed his grasp.” I have a sneaky suspicion this book will have a positive impact on young minds of all ages.
