Now that the media circus has died down somewhat, a 2016 dialogue I had with Johnny gives a view of the demons he has wrestled with, his creative energy, his intelligence and his gentle humbleness.
I remember seeing this back when it came out and thinking what an amazing human being Johnny Depp was and is. Clearly the last few years have been tough as our culture wrestles with the mistreatment of so many, including women in subordinate positions, and the accusations that have followed. I think while the initial take away was to believe all victims, I hope we can get to point where we take every accusation seriously rather than as a matter of fact. These are serious issues and should result in vigorous investigation AND innocence until proven guilty
