PSA: Up to two full Scholarships will now be awarded for our April 2025 Bhutan Experience
Thanks to the generosity of our donors we are able to provide scholarships for the full cost of the 11 day Origins Travel Adventure to Bhutan.
In April, I announced our Bhutan Travel Adventure was open for booking, and to our surprise, the expedition sold out in a single day. We had held back several berths for scholarship participants and announced at that time an opportunity to get half of the cost of the trip covered. I am extremely pleased to announce now that due to the generosity of our donors, support has increased to cover the full $7100 cost of the Bhutan experience for up to two scholarship recipients. Successful applicants will still be responsible for their own travel from home and return to Bangkok, where the expedition begins, plus travel insurance and incidentals during the trip.
The foundation's mission is “To Encourage Curiosity About The World, Connect Science And Culture, Inspire Critical Exploration, And Facilitate Interactions With The People, Places And Ideas Associated With The Greatest Challenges Of The 21st Century.”. It is therefore particularly gratifying that we can now provide the opportunity to have this exciting educational experience—to spend 11 days traveling with an exciting group of fellow travelers while interacting with guest speakers Robert Sapolksy, Peter Singer, and Katarzyna de Lazari-Radek, as well as myself—to a broader set of individuals than could otherwise take advantage of it.
To apply for the scholarships, go to originsproject.org/trip-scholarship/ and fill out the form by June 1. The board will inform successful candidates of its decision by mid-June. Good luck, and I hope to see you in Bhutan!
Amazing news, Dr. Krauss. I wish I could make it!
